Worldwide Manufacturing and Shipping Delays

 

Dear Spa Store customers,

 

We would like to let you know about some of the manufacturing and shipping delays that are being experienced around the world, as these will begin to affect our products and the orders that you have in place.

 

 

There is significant congestion in a number of key ports that affect our supply of products including Yantian in China, and Long Beach in the USA. In these ports, increases in volume, coupled with reduced capacity (due to Covid-19 outbreaks and precautions) are beginning to cause significant delays. 

According to some shipping brokers, there are currently around 160,000 shipping containers waiting at Yantian alone to be loaded on the dozens of ships currently waiting at anchor. 

“From port handling in Yantian alone, the sheer number of containers (not vessels) impacted now exceed the number of containers impacted in Suez,” Lars Jensen, CEO of advisory Vespucci Maritime, wrote in an update on LinkedIn.

 

 

What does this mean for you?

This means, that ships are waiting for weeks for cargo containers to be loaded, slowing down the lead time on many of our products.

As a result, you may experience delays in the delivery of products you have ordered from us.

 

What are we doing about this?

As we become aware of the issues, we are taking every step we can to let you know as soon as possible if you will experience a delay in receiving your item. We'll keep in contact with you as best as we are able to.

We are dealing with some of the biggest suppliers in the world - Jacuzzi, Vortex, Fisher. They have the ability to pre-pay for shipping bookings, putting our shipments further up the queue.

We are also ordering larger quantities to ensure we have more of a buffer in place to make up for possible delays.

 

What can you do to help?

We are doing our best to keep on top of these issues - but we do ask that you remember they are outside of our control. Our customer care team are a wonderful group of people and their passion is to ensure all our customers are kept happy and well-informed! Our customer care team have no control over these shipping delays that are happening, so we ask for your patience and understanding as we communicate with you.

Please remember we were working on the best information we had at the time when we gave you an ETA. We are certainly not attempting to deliberately mislead you if we give you an ETA for your item and then have to revise that ETA.

We'll get your order to you very soon and do our best to keep you updated with progress in the meantime.
